Delete your Detective ID
Heistdoku by Ramen Games · Last updated: 27 October 2026
Your Detective ID is the anonymous profile Heistdoku makes when you play the Daily Challenge: a portrait, a title and a name from the game's own lists, and your times on the leaderboard. It has no e-mail, password or real name. You can delete it, with everything the server keeps about it, in the game in a few taps, or by e-mail.
In the game
Deleting needs an internet connection: the ID is deleted on our server right away.
1Open SETTINGS: tap the gear at the top right.
2Tap your Detective ID at the top of the settings.
3Tap DELETE MY ID at the bottom left.
4It asks SURE? Tap it again.
5Read what is deleted and what stays, then tap DELETE MY ID.
6Done: YOUR DETECTIVE ID IS DELETED.
Without the app
E-mail info@ramengames.io with the subject Delete my Heistdoku Detective ID and your ID's title, name and number as the leaderboard shows them (for example Detective Vera #4821). The account has no name or e-mail, so that is how we find it. We delete it within 30 days and reply when it's done. Use this if you no longer have the game: deleting the game itself doesn't delete the ID on our server. (Installing the game again on the same phone brings the ID back, and then you can delete it in the app.)
What is deleted, and what is kept
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| The anonymous account | Deleted at once. |
| Your Detective ID: portrait, title, name, number, card, and its stats (cases closed, challenge streak, challenges played) | Deleted at once, from every leaderboard. |
| Your Daily Challenge results: times, places, hints and mistakes, for every day you played | Deleted at once. |
| A scrambled key of your phone (it can't be turned back into the phone's identifier) | Kept for 3 days, then deleted automatically. It stops a new ID from playing the same day's case again on the same phone (fraud prevention). |
| The ID's recovery key (random, kept on your phone so a reinstall brings the ID back; only scrambled on our server) | Deleted at once, on the server and on the phone. |
| Our server's security logs, which include IP addresses | Kept for a few days, then deleted automatically. |
| Your cases, drawers, hints, purchases and settings | Not affected: they are on your phone, not on our server. Deleting the game deletes them (purchases can be restored from the store). |
An account that never made a Detective ID is deleted automatically after 14 days.
